P.S Kitchen: NYC Vegan Restaurant with a Great Cause

In the heart of Theater District on West 48th Street in New York City lies a restaurant with some amazing food and an even better cause. P.S Kitchen is a 100% vegan restaurant which offers lunch, dinner and brunch over the weekends. This restaurant is one of the must stops for all vegan travelers visiting New York City. Not only because of their amazing food but also their amazing charitable works.

100% of the profits go directly to charity. You heard that right! 100% of the profits go to re noun international charities. This is such an amazing and honorable cause. This is a phenomenal aspect of P.S Kitchen and a reason why P.S Kitchen deserves our support and business.

There is a long list of charitable organizations that P.S Kitchen works with including The Doe Fund. Which is a nonprofit organization in the United States that provides paid transitional work, housing, educational opportunities, counseling, and career training to people with histories of homelessness, incarceration, and substance abuse. This restaurant accepts the social and moral responsibilities which most restaurants shy away from.

The amazing cause is not the only reason to stop at P.S Kitchen. When I dined at this restaurant I first noticed that the atmosphere was very cool. There is a cozy and sleek feel to the restaurant. The bar as well was great because it was very welcoming and spacious. The neon sign, cool design and comfortable seating helps create a great experience for the customers.

P.S Kitchen also has some great drinks! Including a bottomless mimosa deal. Their drinks include non alcoholic, mix drinks and my own personal favorite great beers. New York City is home of some of the best IPA's and brewery's in the country. P.S Kitchen had some beers that I have never seen before such as a KCBC – Kung Fu Kittens, Double IPA. This beer had the coolest label i have ever seen as well as a great tasting IPA.

Vegan Burger and Truffle Fries

For the food, I ordered a Smokey BBQ Burger with BBQ portabella, caramelized onions, American cheese, pickles on a pretzel bun, and truffle fries. This burger and fries did not disappoint. After a long day of walking the city I all really wanted was a cold beer and a tasty burger. The burger and truffle fries were so Delicious! They were everything that you would want in a burger and fries meal. I also ordered a Green Goddess Sala with Baby kale, arugula, candied nuts, apples, pickled grapes, herb dressing. This was a great salad. Especially the candied nuts! Then for desert I ordered the Apple Cobbler with Coconut whipped cream, caramel drizzle. It was such a delicious dessert and a perfect ending to a great meal.

Overall, P.S Kitchen is a must stop for any vegan travelers in New York City. The location is great for travelers because its right in the theater district leaving a great opportunity to see a show and then stop by P.S Kitchen for a great meal as well as a drink or two. The commitment to charities can not be discussed enough. This is one of the only restaurants I have known to donate 100% of their profits to charities. So, come out and support this great restaurant and all they stand for!
